What is included
Why made-to-measure, in this city
Very few rooms in Kathmandu are square, level or a standard size. A bought wardrobe leaves a 90mm gap on one side and does not close properly on the other; a bought TV unit sits over a socket you now cannot reach. Everything we build is measured on site first, which is not a premium service here so much as the only way to get a piece that fits the wall it is going against.
What is under the finish
Solid plywood carcass rather than particle board, edge-banded on every cut edge including the ones facing the wall, and soft-close hinges and runners as standard rather than as a line item you have to ask for. The parts you cannot see are where furniture is actually cheapened, and it shows up two monsoons later as a swollen base and a door that no longer lines up.
One crew, from the drawing to the polish
Cutting, assembly and polishing all happen at our workshop at Lotse Mall, Machhapokhari, and the crew that installs is on our own payroll. Nothing is subcontracted to whoever is free that week, which is the reason the joint lines still match a year after handover — and the reason there is nobody to chase if something needs fixing. You ring the studio and we come back.

The workshop is at Lotse Mall, Machhapokhari, Kathmandu, Nepal, so a site visit anywhere in the valley is a short trip rather than a scheduling problem.
